BAP’s work during the Royal Opera House ‘Open Up’ project has been commended at the Association of Noise Consultants Acoustic Awards 2019 in the Vibration Prediction and Control category. The judges recognised that “(…) this project explored new ways of monitoring noise in sensitive spaces where traditional measurement methodologies could not be used. There was good collaboration with the design team, construction team and the client which met the challenge of allowing performances to keep going. It was a highly complex project delivered to the satisfaction of the client”.
The ceremony was held on the 6th June in Manchester during the Association of Noise Consultant’s annual conference. Our in house vibration specialist Tomasz Galikowski was unable to attend the evening event. Therefore one of our Partners, David Charles, got to meet childhood hero Maggie Philbin while receiving our award.
For any queries regarding the control and/or monitoring of vibration please get in touch and one of our engineers will talk you through ways where we can help.
