Our vibration work is concerned mainly with the measurement, modelling, assessment and control of vibration from over ground and underground railways, from construction and demolition activities and from building services plant and equipment.
We measure vibration by field surveys and model the transmission of vibration using ANSYS, a Finite Element (FE) package.
We assess the results against current British and International Standards concerned with human response to vibration and building damage.
We also compute the noise radiation resulting from vibration which is often the key factor in determining whether vibration isolation measures will be necessary and the performance requirements of a vibration isolation system.
We can carry out survey and provide report suitable for planning or to inform Section 61 applications.
We are experienced in providing advice on controlling and monitoring of construction and demolition vibration to a range of receptors including laboratories, offices, residential, radio/TV studios and museums.
