Our recent project – acoustic design of The Stage

The Stage is a new mixed-use development located on the fringes of the City of London in Shoreditch. The scheme involved the demolition of original buildings and the erection of a number of new structures around an area of new landscaped open space. The Stage consists of seven buildings, including a 38-storey tower, and will provide residential units, offices, cafes and retail spaces. Building 7 will consist of an archaeological exhibition space which includes the remains of the Elizabethan Curtain Theatre. As well as a museum, this building will be used for education, exhibitions and events and performances.

BAP are providing acoustic consultancy services on the project from RIBA Stage 3 through construction to completion. We are currently advising on the acoustic design aspects during the construction of buildings B1 (residential), B2 and B3 (both offices), and undertaking a technical design of Building 7.

The planned completion is Q4 2021.
