Congratulations to BAP acoustic consultant Jack Traveller who recently achieved his MSc in environmental and architectural acoustics at London Southbank University.
Jack’s thesis was a comparison and validation of several methods for predicting the off-axis directivity index of large ventilation louvres, including the widely used correction given in CIBSE Guide B4. The reduction of noise level with change of angle generated by louvres measured in-situ was compared to the predicted reduction obtained for the same louvres using the examined methods.
Jack will be presenting a conference paper on his results at Inter-Noise 2019 in Madrid on the 16th – 19th of June.
