BAP acoustic consultant Jack Traveller presents his paper at the 2019 Inter-Noise Congress

BAP acoustics have a long history of investing in our staff. For over 30 years many of our acousticians have developed their careers with post graduate MSc degrees in acoustics from London South Bank University. In June 2019, BAP acoustic consultant Jack Traveller presented his paper “Validation of guidance for the prediction of the directivity index of ventilation louvres” to an international audience at the 2019 Inter-Noise Congress in Madrid. The paper was well received and prompted numerous questions and commentary from the audience.

Jack’s paper is the culmination of a year-long research project as part of his MSc in architectural and environmental acoustics at London South Bank University. The project was an investigation into the accuracy of the prediction method given in CIBSE guide B4 for determining the axial directivity of louvred apertures in buildings.
