Bickerdike Allen Partners (BAP) have worked with Curl la Tourelle Architects providing acoustic design services for a project to relocate Ryelands Primary and Nursery School, in the London Borough of Croydon. The school now occupies a newly-refurbished building on Oakley Road, freeing their former site on nearby Albert Road for the Oasis Arena Academy – a new-build project which has recently started on site.

The Oakley Road buildings were refurbished in order to provide new facilities for Ryelands Primary and Nursery School, consisting of several classrooms, a nursery, three hall areas, administrative areas, group rooms, a project room, a kitchen, a library and SEN rooms. The official opening took place on the 10th July 2015 and everyone was “over the moon” with the project, being very pleased with the acoustics of the different spaces, especially the Assembly Hall and the Key Stage 1 Hall.

BAP has several more school projects in hand such as Oasis Academy Arena in Croydon, Wheathampsted House Preparatory School, Byron Court School, Paxton Primary School and Islamia Primary School for which we intend to keep delivering great acoustics.
